Waiting for the Ball to Drop? This year has brough many light and bright experiences, opportunities for expansion, creativity, inspiration and joy. It has also brought profound deep reflection and incubating darkness. It is interesting to note, that this is the fertile ground for the seed to germinate... The brand new .  This has been a year of many challenges and life lessons. I am grateful for them all, and I release them with love. Now more love and wonder-full-ness can grow, bloom and flourish . I will lovingly let go of 2013. Right now is a great time to take stock of the year on paper; (or a mental list can work too) what do I want to let go of? (for good!) what did I accomplish? (give yourself credit for all the little things too!) what is left undone? (do you still care about it? Is it still important?) what experiences am I grateful for?

A Blessing from the Mother... On this day, I reflect on the beautiful energy of the Blessed Mother. As a child, hers was the image of God for me. I don't make a habit out of watching the news... I check the weather mostly, because I'm bombarded with stories of war, accidents, and natural disaster. Sometimes stories of depravity and cruelty are just horrifying. I send distance reiki. When I hear from my neighbor or friend somethig awful just happened... I comfort them, become a loving ear and give reiki (if appropriate) through the eyes ( gyoshi-ho ) or through a touch of the arm, hand or hug. If I'm hearing it over the phone or through Facebook, Again, I send Distance Reiki. I just love this, cause Rather than feel powerless about what's going on "out there" Or Feeling guilty about "not being able to do anything about it" Or even despondant, Like, "what's the use? The world is an unsafe, bad place" I send distance reiki. To the people affected, to the governments involved, to the earth so she can heal, to the families, friends, neighbors, fel...

Even though it's technically still summer, I've already enjoyed my woodburning stove this week. Felt a little like jumping the gun...but we had a few chilly nights this September. Dear Goddess, It's me, Jessamina. I am completely shocked that I scrambled out of the Pre-K classroom with a lump in my throat. Tears?..no. you know I didn't! (ok, almost) But as you know, I fumbled when I kissed my little one and made a lipstick mark on his cheek... His wide-eyed look astonished me too. I'm going. Home. By. My...Self. This is the first time I don't have a baby to cuddle. I spaced the children 3.5 years apart, I always looked forward to some "alone time with the baby" when each of my guys started school....
