Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!

I have always been an advocate for self care. Being a mom, wife, friend, and business owner, it's easiest for me to keep my commitment to feeling good by implementing little daily routines. It's not boring. It's a necessity. The need for Self care's importance has often been minimized or considered selfish by some... But my Goddess-Sisters know better. This past weekend I experienced such a profound level of nourishment for my Goddess-Soul that I had to share with you ..... My best friend from childhood invited me to stay with her at the Waldorf Astoria in Boca Raton, FL. The architecture is truly magnificent and grand in every way. Addison Mizner designed it to evoke the lush spanish revival with enchanting midieval touches. Classic paintings everywhere, lighted fountains, great lawns with statues, tiles and columns, antique and plush modern furniture in gorgeous sitting areas all throughout the resort. Oh, yeah.. and this palace is Pink! M...

Gluten Free and Sugar Free Doesn't have to suck.

Image
Gorgeous, Simple Apple Cake Going gluten free and sugar free doesn't have to suck. I adapted this recipe so that I wouldn't get that awful bloated, too-full feeling, and to not feed that feel-like-crap-and-be-crabby processed white sugar addiction monkey. 11 steps to eating blissful apple cake.        Got Apples?  1. I started with 4 gigantic honeycrisp beauties.... (organic is best..apples on are on the 'dirty-dozen list' ) Use an apple slicer to make easy work of this. Peel off the skins and slice the apple pieces down the middle to make 2 thick wedges for each slice. Put them in a big bowl. 2. Preheat your oven to 350 when you're done with the apple slicing business. 3. Coat the inside of a 9 inch springform pan with a nonstick cooking spray. 4. Mix the apples in that big bowl with 1/4 cup coconut sugar and 1/2tsp. cinnamon set it aside. 5. In a smaller bowl, Cream up the 1/2 cup butter or Ghee and then add 1...

Libra Sun- Libra Moon ..It's Autumn!

That's it. Summer is over. Gone are the long warm days.. The Daylight and the nighttime are equal. In Balance . The Harvest is underway. Time to take stock of what you've accomplished..and all that Good Karma that you've sowed. Reap it up! Speaking of Reaping... Do you know about Goddess Maat and her scales of truth?? She's the Egyptian Goddess of Truth and Justice. At the time of death, a soul comes to her and Anubis, with their heart out.. Yeah.... in a canopic jar. They'll weigh your heart against a feather. The feather of truth. Is your heart as light as a feather? What is weighing on your heart? Well..Now is the perfect time to set that right . The Libra energy is all about Balance..(and beauty..and truth) After all, if your heart is not proved to be as light as said feather.. You are completely devoured by the demon Ammit and your heart is to remain forever restless..instead of finding peace and rebirth. Forever Restless is how we fe...

4 Real Rules for a Limitless Reality

Image
Steadily moving forward toward what you want?  sounds easy enough... But becoming distracted by what your friends, family or even the latest A-Lister in magazines is wearing, or doing, saying, or selling can send you down a detour that is actually a dead end. Your mind and spirit are limitless. With that said, know that the most important rules to remember are: 1. What you don't want doesn't belong in your mind! Put the 'KEEP OUT' sign on the doors of your perception when it comes to what you don't want. Really. Stay clearly focused on the attributes that you DO want, let's say, 'beauty', for an example that most women can relate to. Keeping your thoughts on "beauty" surrounding yourself with "beauty", talking about it, imagining what it feels like to be more "beautiful"...creates a fertile ground for more of it coming in, for sure.... 2. Don't believe what other people say about "beauty" if ...

Path of the Priestess

Image
Divine Mother, May all my speech and idle talk be Mantra; All actions of my hands be Mudra; All eating and drinking be the offering of oblations unto Thee; All lying down be prostrations before Thee; May all pleasures be as dedicating my entire self unto Thee; May everything I do be taken as Thy worship. ~Swami Radha I feel that walking the path of a priestess includes many things.. One of the beautiful things that you can do to help  yourself, the world and all of humanity is to expand your ability to heal..Whatever tradition, religion or practices you currently employ for healing can be enormously enhanced by adding reiki energy. Becoming attuned is a beautiful experience in itself, and knowing that you have access to a greater healing ability is wonderful. Whether your intention is to start a healing practice, or help the ones you love with this easy-to-facilitate healing modality, you will be lowering stress everywhere!...

A New Year is Coming

Image
Waiting for the Ball to Drop? This year has brough many light and bright experiences, opportunities for expansion, creativity, inspiration and joy. It has also brought profound deep reflection and incubating darkness. It is interesting to note, that this is the fertile ground for the seed to germinate... The brand new .  This has been a year of many challenges and life lessons. I am grateful for them all, and I release them with love. Now more love and wonder-full-ness can grow, bloom and flourish . I will lovingly let go of 2013. Right now is a great time to take stock of the year on paper; (or a mental list can work too) what do I want to let go of? (for good!) what did I accomplish? (give yourself credit for all the little things too!) what is left undone? (do you still care about it? Is it still important?) what experiences am I grateful for?
