Cold Moon

 I'm so jazzed about the upcoming Solstice..I'm really feeling the shift of energy already.

 There's a giant Goddess-y Full moon on the longest night of the year!

       In times before electricity, this was a night of dispair and fear.  How awful to be submerged into the cold night, with no visible "end" in sight.  Some knew that this was a powerful dreaming time, a shift of consciousness, where you embrace the darkness and the unknowable...

     Those who payed attention to Mother Nature's Cyclical power, knew that the light was beginning to return...the sun's power would again permeate our sky soon...

     So the Longest Night is upon us..and we've got a Giant Moon. A Full, shimmering moon above us. (let's hope it's a clear night so we can see it!) She speaks to us...Fear not. I am here.

This year, the Goddess is in her full glory, A full moon in the Astrological sign of Cancer, signifies;

• A time that for nurturing, and being mothered. A wonderful sentiment for these times.
• A Cancer moon is the 'mother moon', the Great Mother, Blessed Mother...Goddess!...
• Cancer Moon Rules the Belly,  Pregnancy, and Birth...What are you getting ready to Birth? What does your Belly Say?   What are your Goddess Superpowers?  Prepare the way for your 'baby', sweet Goddess..

          In pagan tradition, the Goddess gets ready to birth Her Son(Sun!), The God, on this night. This is her night, she labors, she waits, she is at the height of her feminine power....The Son will be born, he will be adored..The days will be long again..Bringing illumination, and life, to a seemingly barren world....

     But, sweet one, it never was barren!  The Evergreens remind us of everlasting life.  Honor the Evergreen...All hail the brave pines. Kiss and Hug the Men and Boys in your life, 'cause those pines are not so fun to hug..So decorate them instead!....Thank you Pinecones... the seeds of those Everlasting pines...We almost forgot...Life is eternal.
