Beautiful Midwife

Marie Frey, passed this September.. She was Birth midwife for my little Ryder James two years ago..Her crossing has brought back memories, some fond, some challenging..

Marie was a creative thinker..she kept having me switch 'pushing positions' until the 'Key'(his head) fit through the 'lock''(my Birth canal!)

She also suggested that Anthony get in the bed with me..He was behind me supporting me as I found the position to best birth my boy, Ryder ..beautiful..

She was so compassionate too…When me, hubby, and baby were separated after the birth, there was a (3 hour!) gap between my birth-time and the time when I could be in a recovery room w/baby..(Due to an understaffed “transport” dept.)

Marie offered to take me herself in the wheelchair to the post partum floor..the nurses wouldn’t allow it..but still..
These things meant a lot to me as I was a crying hormonal feral mama all alone in that delivery room...I am grateful for her compassion and expertise.
Blessings on your Journey Sweet Marie...
